Dear SCISOC members: This is the official notice of the SCISOC AGM. The AGM will be held on the 14th of October, Thursday, between 7-9pm. We STRONGLY RECOMMEND candidates to nominate themselves via this Google Form prior here, else you may choose to nominate yourself on the day after all nominees have given their speeches. The form is open now, and will close ðð:ð±ðµð£ð ð ð¢ð¡ððð¬ ðð/ðð¬/ð®ð¬ð®ð - that is, three days before the AGM begins. All nominees will then be publicly revealed on our Facebook page. By nominating, you consent to having your photo displayed on our Facebook page. (More details on the form). https://unswscisoc.us12.list-manage.com/track/click... -------------------------------------------------- The agenda will be as follows: - Acknowledgement of country - Apologies - President's Report - Treasurer's Report - Arc Delegate's Report (if relevant) - Exec Nominations (featuring nominee profiles w/ pics) - Voting Time - Nomination Results - Closing remarks (including Business without Notice etc.) - Update executive details (including changing of bank signatories, a photoshoot etc.) The following positions are open for nomination and will be voted on IN this order: - President - Vice President of Marketing - Vice President of Socials - Vice President of Pubs / IT - Vice President of Externals x 2 - Treasurer - Secretary - Arc Delegate -------------------------------------------------- Other notes: As the AGM is on an academic date, there will be NO proxy voting. You may nominate yourself for at most 2 positions. You are expected to make ONLY ONE 2 minute speech at the AGM for your first preference role, with 2 minutes of time allocated for Q&A after your speech. You may talk about your suitability for your first preference role, or both roles you've nominated for, in this speech. We have NO CONFIDENCE enabled at the AGM - that is, all voting options will include "abstain" and a "no confidence" vote option - we will review no confidence on a case by case basis and we reserve the right to hold a revote or leave an executive position open if no suitable candidate is voted in (by majority of votes).
