The Careers portfolio liaises with industry professionals to deliver high quality events for our student base. This portfolio refines and caters to sponsors and their requests, drafts correspondence and reaches out to potential partners. Generally, the careers team actively seeks out relevant career, educational and networking opportunities including collaborations with external parties, sponsorships and educational events.

Digital Media

The Digital Media portfolio is responsible for managing all the digital content for SCISOC, including photography and videography. This portfolio coordinates event photography, photo and video editing for promotional material and produces drafts, shorts and other visual mediums.

Finance

​The Finance portfolio is responsible for regularly tracking debits and credits and editing the general ledger. They create ticketing systems and organise balance sheets and income statements in order for SCISOC events to run smoothly and efficiently.

Marketing

The Marketing portfolio designs material and graphs to promote all society events. Socials

The Socials portfolio aims to plan, develop and run SCISOC events within a team atmosphere by taking initiative to research, plan and book suitable venues, ensuring availability of required equipment and personnel. These events include but are not limited to: camp, cruise, ball and pub crawl.

Publications/IT

The IT/Publications portfolio manages and designs the SCISOC website and creates fortnightly newsletters to send updates, upcoming events and more to all members of SCISOC. This portfolio team organises the mailing list to facilitate newsletters and emails. Additionally, they produce careers-related and student-catered publications for a wide range of Science students.
